Leap of Faith … a witness statement

We had such a great time making this album.

We wanted it to sound like the band plays, with all the energy and “feel” that you get at the gigs, so instead of going to the studio; Ali Reay brought the studio to us. Using our regular rehearsal room, and the amazing feel and skills of Blue Attic Audio, we put the seven tracks down in one night.

All the instruments went down in one take, with no overdubs or edits. We tried to do the vocals at the same time, but the volume level was so high in the room that no vocal/instrument separation was possible. Paul spent the session screaming vocal cues to the rest of the band. You can just about hear him yelling at them on some tracks!

The vocals and guitar fills went down in one more high productivity session and the whole lot was mixed by Ali & Paul in the famous Blue Attic.
